I Published My Own Book - Now I Educate And Motivate Writers
I can remember the days when I had a lot of God-inspired writings but did not have any idea what to do with them. People would tell me that my writing ability could make me money, but no one could tell me HOW. People who did not know the answers would tell me to “go to the internet….” but, when I asked, “where on the internet should I go?” they did not have a clue. These well-meaning people were sincerely trying to encourage me, but they just did not know how to lead, guide, or direct me.
Well, after much prayer I was determined to do something with the gift of writing that God had given me. I knew that my writing was not just for a select few people whom I chose to share it with, but, it was for millions of people!
One day I met a lady who encouraged me by telling me “the more of the work you can do for yourself, the less you will have to pay others to do for you”. I took her advice and after much research, I began taking one step at a time towards publishing my own book.
After I completed the publication of my first book, “More Than Mere Words: Poetry That Ministers” I put together an outline of the steps that I took to publish my book it was two pages long. I did this because I knew that other aspiring gifted writers would begin to ask me how I published my book. I gave the outline away to people at my first book signing!
Eventually, I turned my outline into a full-blown book entitled, “Writer s Breakthrough: Steps To Copyright and Publish Your Own Book”. I even had the opportunity to teach my material as a 16-week course at a local Bible College. Since the publication of the book, I have conducted several mini book-publishing workshops to educate, motivate and encourage aspiring authors. In fact, I am currently planning my 2nd annual free 4-hour workshop to be held in Kansas City, Missouri.
If you are reading this and you are an aspiring author, you WILL reach your goal of publishing your book!
